Barendrecht-Nigel turns 21 years old today. A good reason to throw a party: not only Nigel reached the adult status today, he also got one step closer to his final goal: Formula 1. Despite of the fact that Nigel will make his debut in the GP2 this year, he will give his best to achieve a good result. Next season Nigel Melker will race for Ocean Racing Technology, in the GP-2 series. The team of former F1-race-driver Tiago Monteiro wanted Nigel to join their team, after his excellent test earlier this year on the Circuito de Catalunya nearby Barcelona. Monteiro was immediately impressed by the fast Dutchman. Nigel has signed a contract for 2012 now!.

Dordrecht- Last night Nigel Melker received a fantastic award in theatre Kunstmin in Dordrecht. On this yearly sports gala he was elected regional sports talent 2011.
